I wouldn't look at BH as a shutdown skill as the duration isn't as great as it could be now, but look at is as a way to keep a monk down while you spike the crap out of him. BH followed by a strong spike combo will render him useless to heal while you kill him the same as any other squishy!

and about the recall glitch, are you sure you didnt just stop next to a wall? Shadow steps can't go past walls and such, but I believe teleporting had a similar glitch that people used to get out of the map... I'll... "test" this when I get home xD top of wizards tower ftw?

EDIT: also, AoD is still one of my favorite skills, PvP AND PvE. It is the ultimate survival/killing skill an assassin can have. Although it doesn't hex or daze, it still gets you in and out of where you need to go. A great PvE build is AoD, golden fox, fox fangs, death blossom, maybe add jagged strike/wild strike for a quicker path ot DB . Basic build, nice outcome.

@ensoriki... the whole game is filled with idiots. but gvg is the highest form of pvp in the game.

and saying boaSP sucks is just ignorant... because it works, very well in fact, in a balanced team. Its when you see them running around with no support and no discernment on targets, thats when you see sucky Boa.

It does what the 'sin is supposed to do....quick and powerful spike, which can be done by other builds yes, but why in the world would you even think about defense in a GVg build?

Jagged Strike for 1 second = cool.

I use it for PvE xD;; cos it's sorta pointless to try and hex something and go into the BSS + TF + whatever since it's usually dead so I use Jagged + Wild Strike + Crit Strike + MS + DB + whatever >_>

So whee I like I can now actually at least make things BLEED! before my heroes kill them

And on the whole SP/BoA thing, I just like the BoA skill. It's fun. But I can live without it. yet at the same time I like the fast spiking. SP, however, I don't like -o-;; For all the said reasons that other people don't like it for. I use Moebius and actually I also use Critical Defenses and Crit Strike is my other dual. I just use Siphon Speed as my hex, which has the faster recharge, lower cost, and still does a decent enough snare. If anything it slows them down so that the charging warrior reaches them even faster XD And its fun to kill other SP/BoA sins cos...they have no defense and I do and I'm like " whee!"

Of course that's if I pop on Crit Defense at the right time XD; then I'm like "D: dangit!"

Fun nonetheless. I wish Crit Defense lasted like a second or two longer though.

Thats because its a competition and ladder, that doesn't mean its not full of idiots. Rather it means its somewhere if even if your idiotic you get recognized for...high pvping.

Boa works, on people who don't prepare for such stuff, monks Pre prot an assassin can Pre cast block, or heart of shadow, fiegned, whatever. Warriors, have stances...Rangers...

Sure all out attack is nice, but killing 1 person and dying a second later isn't.
And if your BOA sin has support the other team does too, and if they're a pressure team your once every 20 second spike that doesnt kill if there monk is smart will soon just be a small nuisance.

From what I can remember the game sees if you can naturally go past those walls since when you activate aura of displacement and hide behind a cliff you still get warped back.

Perhaps it retraces your steps, so recall would work but for it to warp you back to your spot there has to be no wall in the retrace.

All shadowsteps work the same.

GW checks if people can walk to whereever your destination is. If so, you shadowstep there. If not, you shadowstep to the nearest possible location.

nope, recall does NOT teleport you through objects, and you cannot get stuck. just tried it, it shadow stepped me up to a wall and stopped, It wouldn't take me any further.

You have to try with an opened and closed GvG gate. You can shadowstep through the walls if the gate is open.
